					<description>If you're talking the home page, open up your index.php in this default style folder (in the themes folder).

You'll notice a tag that says 'the_content', change it to 'the_excerpt' (no quotes, just for reference)... this will now change your home page only to show an excerpt, not the full text. Feel free to email me if you have any questions:)

Side notation: By default wordpress inserts it's own excerpt - but you do have options. One being the option area below your image upload on a post page that says 'excerpt' where you can copy/paste in your own excerpt. Another is a nice little plugin called Post Teaser http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/PostTeaser that will be automated, but allow you to have some other automatic options wordpress doesn't do by default.</description>
